Easy Elegance: Homemade Danishes

If you forgot to plan for Valentine’s Day, don’t worry - I’ve got you! Puff pastry danishes are incredibly easy to prepare. You can assemble them in advance, taking them right from the freezer to your oven when it’s time to bake.

The two recipes below are for fillings. Simply combine all the ingredients with a mixer. If you want to have a different flavor and/or berry for your danishes, feel free to plug in another kind of jam or fruit. Just make sure to stick to the right ratios! Easy Homemade Danish Fillings

Blueberry:

8 oz. package softened cream cheese

1/2 cup powdered sugar

Pinch of salt

1/4 tsp. vanilla extract

1 tbsp. fresh lemon juice

Zest of 1/2 a lemon

2 tbsp. blueberry jam

Raspberry:

8 oz. package softened cream cheese

1/2 cup powdered sugar

Pinch of salt

1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

1 tsp. fresh lemon juice

2 tbsp. raspberry jam

~

Additional ingredients you’ll need for your danishes:

Puff pastry (homemade or store-bought)

Butter cooking spray

Fresh berries to match your filling (ie. blueberries with blueberry filling…)

Extra powdered sugar for dusting
